That elderly woman seems to be cringing while eying the "office bloke's" choice of a series! As an outsider are your voyeuristic senses tingling, wondering how the content they are so engrossed into affects the person?

Your task is to portray a stranger in association with the the book they are reading, a movie or a show they are watching, or perhaps a video game they are playing. Make sure you can describe both the person as well as the book (if you can get a glimpse of the name of the book, or even a chapter, or better, a particular line!). Perhaps their emotion makes them look battered, not because after that long 8 hours of work, they are tired, but because they are at the crucial point of continuing a battle. Perhaps they are going to a party right after watching an episode of CSI? What do you think they are, through your eyes? Give them personality, give their task a creative look Through Your Eyes!

- Note your sightings in your artist's description. For example:

Reading: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, J. K. Rowling (include page number if possible, include chapter name or a line or two of text if possible if you don't know the title); or

- You must be a member of deviantART.com to enter. Membership is free.
- Entrants must be 13 years or older to participate;
- Contest open to all deviants everywhere. You do not have to join the groups to enter or get your entries into the contest folder.
- Entries must be submitted in one of the following file formats: GIF/PNG/JPG for Visual Entries and text format for Written Entries, but may originate in any medium;
- Entries must not have been previously published or won any other prize/award or belong to a contest entry in another contest; No entries created before July 1st, 2013 will be accepted.
- Entrants may enter as many Works as they like each/both categories however duplicate entries are not allowed (i.e. entering the same entry into more than one category or a colour change to submit more entries);
- Online entries only, hard copies not accepted;

- The work may not be inappropriate, offensive, libelous or defamatory, pornographic, sexually explicit, unlawful or plagiarized.
- Must not be abusive, harassing, threatening, harmful, vulgar, profane, obscene, excessively violent, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable or offensive in any way;
- Can not exactly resemble a certain individual.
- Multi-panel works (such as comics) are acceptable; For Photomanipulations, must not contain stock resources provided by other deviants and/or stock sites. All such resources must be yours.
- Written entries may not exceed word limit of 500 words.
- Collaborations are not accepted. All work must be created by the entrant.
- Entrants must not submit unfinished works, WIPs, rough drafts as entries. Final work only.
The Judging
Your work will be judged on the basis of creativity, originality, and technique.
A selected panel of judges will select 14 semi-finalists (7 from each category-visual and written). The semi-finalists would be announced after all the votes have been counted. Winners (total of 6 winners, 3 each based on 1st, 2nd and 3rd place) will be announced after a second round of judging by
staff.At the end the winners will be notified and they'll get their prizes. It may take some time for the judges to come to a decision.
