How did you first discover deviantART?

I never knew about the internet until I was about 7 or 8 years old, where I would just play games on there once in a while. When I was about 11, I browsed around the internet a little more often, and ended up reading fanfiction of some movies and TV shows

. I looked at some of the profiles of authors, and some linked their dA accounts. I browsed around that deviantART for a short time and dismissed it as nothing.
Shortly after turning 13, my English teacher made my class participate in the National Novel Writing Month where I typed my fingers off over 21,000 words and became an active member in the forums. - Wallpapers! I lurked around for a while before finally opening an account. The community are what made me stay -- there's no other like it.

How did you first discover deviantART?

I first discovered deviantART because of a web design class I took with my sister and a friend. Our teacher wanted us to use stock for mock pages and we ended up finding dA. My sister and friend joined dA and I just kinda watched them. I wasn't much of an online type back then. I managed my sister's page when she made her side portfolio account and started scanning in her older works. So when I took over `PainInTheAssimilated, I kinda already knew what I was doing.
What was it about dA that made you want to stay?

I just kinda wanted to blow time when I was in college. I just started posting stuff, to see how long it'd take before I got banned for simply being me. Turns out I'm not ban worthy yet

I'm the senior member of the CEA. My duties include the moderation desk handling reports from the community, Help Desk tickets sent in, educating the community and just general search-and-destroy for porn, trolls, etc.
Was joining the dA team a passion or dream, or was it something you happened to get into just as a job?

A bandwagon that has been turned to a charity!
