Redesign and Moderation

Redesign and Restructure

DeviantArt Forums have been recently updated on December 11, 2023 to bring it into the Eclipse design to uplift it to resemble the rest of the site. Some of the pre-existing forum categories have been removed, renamed, and/or merged for various reasons such as lack of use compared to the rest, excessive spams, divisive and problematic areas that resulted in extensive moderation by staff in those forums.

Moderation

With the redesign and restructuring of the Forums, Community Volunteers (CVs) are not in charge of moderating the forums anymore. All moderation will be carried out by moonbeam13 and staff of Customer Service. There are no Forum CV position. DeviantArt staff will be monitoring forums and fully moderated by staff only.

As a result, if you wish to report any thread(s) or any forum activity for any reason, please tag staff working in CS and/or moonbeam13 . Please be patient while they update any related KB files**.

As always, if you believe a thread violates policies or a thread was wrongly locked, please contact the Help Desk (direct link) or moonbeam13.

Please continue to report any bugs you see in the forums so that they can be fixed by staff!

Hype Up Badge Event Summary

The Share Yours and Your Favourite Deviations - Hype Up Badge 2 - DA's 22nd Birthday event has ended. DeviantArt recently reintroduced the limited-time badge to award Hype Up badge to deviations to boost those deviations to a larger audience as part of DeviantArt's 22nd Birthday Celebration Event. You can read the team journal here.

The forum event took place in the ThumbShare Forum from August 4 - August 25, 2022 11:59 pm PST including the last of the badges given outside of the forum event.

Results

• Hype Up Badges Given: 672 Hypes.

• Deviations that Received Hype Up Badge: 672 deviation.

• Fragments per Hype Up Badge: 100 fragments each.

• Total fragments Used: 67,200 fragments.

• Daily Deviations: New DDs that were suggested and featured by me until the event deadline have also been given the Hype Up Badge hopefully! Other DDs were also given the badge.

• 500th Hype Up Badge Reached on: August 18th, 2022.

• Total Hype Up Badges given: 2052 Hypes in total two events.

Hype Up Badges were given to both the deviations shared in the forum event as per the event rules as well as other deviations browsing around DA.

A variety of mediums, styles, type of work were given the Hype Up Badge, including the Fella's Pizza Palace with the activity placemat with the hashtag #FourEveningsAtFellas .

Multiple deviations by the same deviant may be selected to receive the Hype Up badge.

In some cases, another work of yours or the artist's work you shared might receive the hype badge even if it's not shared here since I like to browse galleries!
